Mission

AID for AIDS Africa's Mission falls under three areas

 

 

Education

  • Effectively communicate all modes of HIV/AIDS transmission, causes, and issues, particularly sexual behaviors not traditionally discussed.

  • Establish and identify community centers to support those who are already HIV-positive, initiate support groups and one-on- one counseling where possible.

  • Deliver written, online and audio-visual materials to educators, medical professionals and community liaisons in the effected African communities

  • Address and eliminate issues and barriers to getting tested and/or receiving treatment

  • Develop new avenues of eliminating stigmas that kill

 

Medical

  • Make available and increase access to more information on alternative treatments in lieu of or in conjunction with traditional medications.

  • Support testing programs with money and equipment

  • Create and support prenatal prevention and transmission programs

  • Make available and increase access to more information on alternative treatments in lieu of or in conjunction with traditional medications

  • Support testing programs with money and equipment

  • Create and support Prenatal Prevention and Transmission programs

  • Implement an international grassroots program of collecting and distributing AIDS medications to the neediest communities in Africa.

Funding

  • Raise money via foundations and other donors to purchase generic versions of medications, buy equipment, and support testing programs and act as a catalyst to create financial partnerships
